Tuesday, July 19, 1932 Woke up in the Hotel Commodore, New York. Very hot all night. Had breakfast with Andy Gibson and Charlie Killen of the Becker Smith and Page line. Looked at this line this morning. Had lunch alone at Child's Fifth Avenue. This afternoon, I looked at lines of M.H. Birge Son, Haffelfingers, Gilbert's, The Bailey W.P. Co., and the Waltex Company. Fred Marks and Wesley Hale came down from New Haven for the day to look over some new things. I had dinner by myself then went over to the Music Box Theatre to see "Of Thee I Sing", a very good musical comedy. Back to the hotel and to bed.
