Hot again this morning and I woke up at the Commodore. Had breakfast with George Steele then went upstairs with him and looked over his regular line and special "Glencraft" line. Attended the luncheon of the New York Rotary Club at the Commodore. Sat at the head table by invitation. Ray Knoeppel was one of the speakers. Did some shopping this afternoon for Little Peter. Bought him an Olympic Games sweater. Took a taxi and rode down to the New York Chamber of Commerce. Found Colly Davis. He showed me around the building then we went by ferry and train to Plainfield, N.J. out to his home for dinner and the night. "Bea" and Terry and Little Pam were so cordial and I did so enjoy my short stay with them.
