Friday, July 22, 1932 Breakfast with the Davises at Plainfield, N.J. then came on to New York with Colly. He put me on the subway at Liberty Street and I came up to the Commodore Hotel. Looked over the line of Book Covers at the Walcutt Bros rooms. Had lunch in Commodore Grille. Went in to Grand Central and bought my reservation home. Sent a telegram to Tessie telling her on what train I would come on. Went up to Lloyd at 48 West 48th Street. Had a nice visit with them. Walked back to hotel, packed my bags, and came home on the 3-05 standard time. Tessie met me at the station and we came out home, found baby Peter awake and so happy. I was tickled to see him. I brought him home a little white sweater with the Olympic Games insignia on the breast.
