Tuesday, August 2, 1932 Muggy again today. Some slight showers. Tessie, Sally, and little Peter drove down to Auntie "B"s. Took Alice Lockwood and went on down to Norwalk. They had lunch at Darlon's and Sarah gave Peter his first salt water swim in the new swimming pool at the golf club. Sally said he loved it and didn't want to come away. I attended the Rotary luncheon at Hotel Taft. Walter Spencer spoke on the Seattle convention. Mr. Chamberlain and I began today to select the Wall Papers for our new 1933 line. I attended a meeting of the membership committee at the Graduates Club at 5-15 P.M. Arthur Nabstedt brought me out as far as the country club. I caught the trolly car there.
