Monday, August 8, 1932 The most disagreeable day of the Summer so far. Hot and humid. The humidity this morning was 93% and the thermometer about 90°. Tessie took little Peter and Mrs. Frank Smith and drove to Stockbridge and brought Sarah back home. It was a long, hot trip but they stood it pretty well. Mr. George Steele of Imperial Wall Paper Company was at the store today to show us their line. I had lunch with him at the Hotel Taft. I came home tonight on the trolly and we all had dinner at home. It is fearfully hot.
