Wednesday, August 10, 1932 Sun very warm but a good breeze till tonight then we had a light shower. Not enough rain by any means. It is very dry. Harley went to Newark, N.J. today to see the Murphy Varnish people. Mr. Chamberlain and I worked on the top floor all day long on the new Wall Paper line. Tessie, Sarah, and little Peter went down to "Little Dean" to spend the afternoon and see Jane. The report is that the little cousins got along very nicely together. Later, another heavy thunder shower struck here about ten o'clock. Tessie and Sarah was sitting in the living room and the lightening ran right along the floor, making a crackling noise. Tessie felt the shock in both arms.
