Thursday, August 11, 1932 Much cooler today after the thunder showers of last night. The sun was warm but the air was clear. We were somewhat busier today in our showrooms. Hope it will keep up. Tessie and Sarah went out to Richmond and Sally Curtiss' this afternoon to tea. They left little Peter at home with Georgie. They called for me and we came home. I put little Peter in the car and we took Georgie over home on Dixwell Ave. President Hoover was notified tonight of his nomination for candidate on the Republican ticket for President. We listened over the radio to his speach of acceptance. It was one of the ables speaches he has ever made. His plans and convictions we plainly put forth.
