A beautiful day, clear and cool. I took the car into the store this morning and Tessie and Sally had a "sleep over". I worked till three thirty then drove to the Armory on Goffe Street and picked up Frank Geiger., Jack Dyer, and Bob Grant, and drove over to Niantic to visit the Active Company of the New Haven Grays in Camp. We had evening mess with them then Captain Harry Dorr welcomed the Veterans who had come over and asked me to respond for the Veterans. It was a beautiful moonlight night but quite cool on the Parade Ground. A lovely drive home. Tessie, Sarah, and little Peter stayed close to the house all day.
