Hot again today and no rain and we need it badly. The Wall Paper Department began again this week to take one day off each week. Vacations are over for that department. Went down to the Boy Scout Office today at four P.M. and met Carl Northrop and Henry Jones and set up the budget for 1933 to present to the Community Chest. I came back to the office then got some supper in Longley's and went down to the Whitfield Paint Store for a meeting of the New Haven Paint and Oil Club to consider the price of white lead. Decided to sell at 10% from card prices. Mr. Powell, the new manager at Sherman Williams' store, brought me home.
