A nice day today after the heavy rain of last night. The newspapers say that two inches fell. I drove the Packard in town this morning, picked up Dorothy Graner, and took her into the Yale Library where she works. I took the car down to the Packard agency and had them fix the anti-chimmying device. It has bothered such a lot. Had lunch at the Hotel Taft with Mr. E.B. Pratt, who was here today showing us the Wallpaper line made by the Stanton Co. of Canada. Home tonight. After supper, Tessie, Sarah, and I went out in the garden and picked dahlias and nastur. Sarah has just placed a huge pink dahlia on my desk. So sweet of her.
