Friday, September 9, 1932 Still cold and blowing. The high winds of yesterday and last night broke down a lot of our dahlias. The house is so still this morning. It seemed that Sarah must appear downstairs with dear little Peter and hand him over to me to ride in town with grandma and me. We expect that they made Syracuse last night and spent the night with cousins Harry and Claire Bill. Then they were to go on early this morning. We looked over the Berge line today and I had lunch with Mr. Campbell, their representative, at the Taft. Attended a committee meeting of Boy Scouts representatives and Budget Com. of Community Chest at Powell Building. Supper tonight at Calvary Church to meet Mr. Blanton and go over program for year. Just 25 years ago today, dear Doris left us for good. How we have missed her.
