Monday, September 12, 1932 This is Cousin Howard and Cousin Carrie's fiftieth wedding anniversary at Middletown, Conn. Tessie and I drove up this afternoon, took them a big basket of dahlias and a little pewter lamp. They were so glad to see us and they had a large number of people call. The three daughters in law very sweetly helped entertain. We came back to "Glendean". I left Tessie here then I drove on down to Wilcox's Savin Rock to an Executive Board meeting of the New Haven Council of Boys Scouts. I had such a hard cold that Carl Northrup had to talk for me.
