Pouring rain all day long and we do need it so badly. I did not awaken till eight o'clock this morning but as I felt so much better, I got up, dressed and shaved, had breakfast, then Tessie took me into the store in the Packard. I worked nearly all day on the top floor marking sample books for the road. Miss Radcliffe is sick today, sort of a nervous break. Hope she is soon better. Ed and Alice Cole called to see me today. They are to move in to a new house soon. Tessie called for me tonight and we came home through the heavy rain. Ruth Chandler is here with us. A young man (John Hall) called to see her tonight.
