Saturday, September 24, 1932 Another fine day. Tessie took me in to the office this morning. I found a special delivery letter from Sarah, mailed from St. Paul. She told us that they had found a maid of all work and that she seemed to what was needed. Sally also said that things did not look too bad at the theatre. Tessie called for me at four o'clock. Ruth Chandler was with her and we drove over to Chalker Beach, Saybrook, Conn. to one of Mrs. Chandler cottages to stay till tomorrow night. It is cold but lovely air and a gorgeous sunset. This is the last day of daylight savings. Tomorrow we go back to standard time.
