At Chalker Beach, Saybrook, CT. As "Standard Time" began this morning, we had an extra hours sleep, which we all enjoyed very much. John Hall came to see Ruth Chandler and stayed all night. We all had breakfast here at the cottage then John left to go to Lyme to play tennis. Tessie and Ruth started to get dinner while lagy me read the Sunday papers. John Hall came back, brought his brother Nat with him, and we all had dinner together. Ruth and I went in bathing. It was rather cold, at least for me as it is the first time I have been in the salt water this year. Tonight, we packed up and came home. Ruth rode with John. We stopped there and had tea.
