Heavy fog this morning which cleared and became a very warm day. Tessie took me in this morning. We picked up Dorothy Graner and Paul Evarts and took them in town. I picked and took in with me a large basket of assorted dahlias. I gave them to Harley to take home. He is still having his eye treated. I attended luncheon of New Haven Rotary Club at Hotel Taft. Perry Curtiss spoke on the operations of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation. Attended meeting of the membership com. of Rotary at Graduate's Club at 5-15. Tonight, we listened over the radio to President Hoover speaking in Des Moines, Iowa. It was the finest address I have ever heard in a political campaign. Harley and I paid some of our bills today with the money Bert sent us. It is a Godsend to us.
