Very hot and muggy. Showers too. Drove right in to Orange Street where Mrs. D. treated my feet for callouses. My, what a relief. Up to the office. Mr. Somers of South Norwalk called on us to look over the new line of Wall Paper. I took him to lunch at the Hotel Taft. I took a trip down town today and paid a lot of small bills from the money that Bert sent us. Tessie called for me at six and we came home and had dinner here. I worked all evening on my talk for tomorrow night at the Calvary Mother's Club. The newspapers and people in general are having many nice things about President Hoover's speech at Des Moines last night.
