Rained nearly all day. Very hard this afternoon. Heavy seas in the harbor. Attended Mancel Rices funeral this afternoon at Beecher, Bennett + Lincoln's. He was a Veteran Gray and a Y.D. Veteran. He died from heart trouble brought on from gas in the World War. Had dinner at the Graduate's Club with Executive Board of Boy Scouts. Ralph Nodine of Boston, head of "Region One" (all New England) was our guest. I drove from there over to Mrs. Taggerts on Beacon Ave. where I spoke to the Calvary Mothers Club on Ideals in the home.
