Sunday, October 9, 1932 A beautiful Indian Summer day. Mrs. Gleanzer and Doris stopped with us last night and had breakfast here before going on to New York. I took the 9-30 trolly in to Calvary Church School and taught my mens class. We discussed today President Hoover's Des Moines speech. On my way in, the trolly I was on crashed in to an automobile. Tessie went in to St. Paul's Church then called for me and we went up to the Prattonia to dinner then came out home. I picked a lot of dahlias and put them in Aletha Knapp Stone's baby carriage (she had loaned it to us for Peter) and took it to them.
