Another rainy day all day. Bill Root had breakfast with us and I took him over to Dayton Street to meet his son and get his car to start for Pittsfield. I then went to the office. Harley and I went down to the Union and New Haven Trust Co. building to interview two men with regard to perhaps the sale of our business. I called on Herman Wahlers and Shermon Williams regarding the marking of sample books. I took the 1-50 P.M. train for Boston. Found it pouring rain there. Took a taxi to the Hotel Statler. Was shown to my room. Then I went at once to the Boston City Club to a dinner of the New England Wall Paper Dealers. Back to the Statler for the night.
