Thursday, October 20, 1932 At the Hotel Statler, Boston, Mass. Slept here last night. Still raining hard so I took a taxi to the South Station. Took 9-25 train on the B.+A. R.Rd. to Springfield. Arrived there at noon. Went up to the Springfield store. Had lunch at the Hotel Kimball with Harry Fitch. Tessie drove up from New Haven with the Packard and called for me at the store. We stopped at the Newells on our way home and saw baby Newell Richardson. Muriel and Phil are in New York. They have returned from Sweden and are to be located in New York for his company. We arrived home safely. Had supper here and I went up to the Spring Glen Club and met with a committee to decide the decorative scheme for the "Great Hall", the lounge, and main hallway.
