Not too cold. Very nice. Started to price our new line of Wall Paper for 1933. Harley and I went down to the Mechanics Bank and met Mr. Frisbie and Mr. Wheeler, the receiver. Also representatives of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation (Boston Office) to discuss with them the mortgage notes they hold on our building. I don't know what this is going to do to us. Tessie called for me tonight and we had supper at home. This is Halloween night and Nancy and Betsy Stone with a little boy came up to the house all in costume and masks and lighted Jack O'Lanterns and "frightened" us terribly. Later, Phylis Nettleton, Marty Russel came to see us in like manner. President Hoover spoke in Madison Square Garden, New York. Followed by Gov. Roosevelt in the Arena, Boston.
