Wednesday, November 9, 1932 Cloudy all day. Hard rain tonight. Tessie rested today. I went in town on the trolly car. We all worked hard all day long taking inventory to present to our creditors next week. Had lunch and supper at lunch room near store. Tessie came in and brought me home tonight. We all worked at the store to finish the inventory. All are astonished at the complete landslide in the election yesterday. Connecticut stood by President Hoover but reelected Gov. Cross (democrat), elected Roy C. Wilcox (republican) Lieut Governor. The National House, both Congress and Senate is largely democratic.
