Our coldest morning so far 28°. We have been busy again all day today finishing up our inventory. Tessie called on Betty Beele and her baby. Found that Betty had gone away for a few days and Jennie was there taking care of the baby. Tessie wrote to Sarah tonight. I went up to the mailbox and sent it off to her. President Hoover on his way home to Washington D.C. wrote to President Elect Franklin D. Roosevelt and asked him to come to Washington to discuss with him the situation that is arisen by England, France, and Belgium asking for relief for the debt payments that are due in December. This will be Gov. Roosevelts first experience with these mighty problems that lie before him in the next four years.
