Thursday, November 17, 1932 A beautiful day. Not cold at all. We had been expecting the cold wave to come this way. We finished our Wall Paper inventory. All extended and added. Paint inventory pretty well done. Got my #3 Book all assembled and numbered today. Sent a package off to Sarah containing a maid's uniform, a little suit for Peter, a football for him, and a book for Sally. Also two cakes of soap. After supper, we dressed, drove in, and called for Violette and went in to Calvary to a musical arranged by Grace Walker Nichols and the Eli Gleeman, a double quartette from the Yale Glee Club. It was a splendid concert. So enjoyable. We brought Mrs. Williams and "Bunk" out to Spring Glen afterwards.
