Sunday, November 20, 1932 A beautiful day today after the downpour of yesterday. I drove in town to Calvary Church to church school and morning service. It was our annual Thanksgiving Day Service but instead of bringing baskets of fruit, all classes brought groceries, canned goods, clothing, and money. The service was held in auditorium and we piled the things on the pulpit and they remained there through the preaching service. Tessie did not go to church. We had dinner at home. Nat Noble called to see us. he had been down from Boston for the game. Bert Herrin called up from the store telling us that a letter from Sarah was there. He brought it out to us. We were glad to receive it and to know that all three dear ones were well. She mailed the letter air mail special delivery St. Paul 3 P.M. Saturday. Arrived here 5-35 P.M. Sunday.
