Tuesday, November 22, 1932 Cold today. Took the car in town. Harley went to Springfield on the train. I attended the weekly luncheon of the New Haven Rotary Club at Hotel Taft. Harry Knight and Leonard Hanner were the speakers on President Hoover's plan for shop and plant rehabilitation to give employment to many of the idle on account of the severe economic depression. Went right up to Beecher Bennett + Lincolns to the funeral of H.H. Taylor, a member of Calvary Church for sixty two years. Mr. Blanton had the service and he had invited Mr. Camp, our former pastor (now of Oakland, Cal.) to assist, which he did (Mr. Camp was in New York attending a missionary conference). Had supper at the church. Mens Club supper.
