Sunday, December 4, 1932 Another mild day. Thermometer up to 54°. I drove Packard in to town. Tessie did not care to go in to church today. I went to Calvary Church School and taught my mens class. Remained to morning service. Mr. Blanton preached and Prof. William Lyon Phelps, our honorary pastor, took charge of the communion service. It was a most impressive service. Went down to the Post Office to see if there was a letter from Sally but there was none. Tessie had a nice chicken dinner (roasted). It was so nice. We drove down to Augur Street and brought Olive (Peggy) Kirtland back with us. She is changing her job and wants to stay here for a few days.
