Sunday, December 18, 1932 The ground covered deep with snow harvest of the Winter. I got up and cleared off the steps and in front of the garage. Old Dan came later and finished all the walks. I drove the Packard in to town. Church school at Calvary and church service that followed. Mr. Blanton preached a marvelous sermon on the "Golden Rule". Violette and Clayton came to us to dinner. Tessie cooked one of her famous turkey dinners. It was so good. Harley called us tonight and said that Grandma Smith (Alice mother) had just passed away. She has been ill for several weeks. She had lived with Alice and Harley for many years.
